Claims Process
At Missouri Farm Bureau, we recognize that your claim is the “Moment of Truth” and that you are evaluating our claims handling efforts every step of the way. We view this as an opportunity to fulfill the promise made to you, as our policyholder, to pay every covered claim fairly and reasonably. We want your claim experience to be simple, transparent, and a positive experience that will prove to you that we value you as a policyholder and member. Here’s how the process works:

Report a Claim - You have many ways to file a claim. We’ll make it a quick and easy process
no matter which method you choose. Be prepared to provide information about the property
that is damaged, as well as what type of loss occurred. As much detailed information as you
can provide (time/date of loss, other parties involved, cause of loss…) will assist our claim
handler get off to a good start and hit the ground running.

Initial Contact – A Missouri Farm Bureau Claims Representative will contact you as soon as
possible to verify information, ask questions, fully explain your coverage and deductible,
and begin processing your claim. As stated in Missouri Farm Bureau Claims Philosophy, our
company goal is to make initial contact with you within 24 hours or less.

Documenting your claim – Your personal Claims Representative will work directly with you to
provide you with necessary forms and to ensure you are aware of any other type of documentation
that will be needed. At the same time we will be assessing your claim for coverage, possibly
making a liability determination, and determining the amount of damage. Documentation varies
depending on the type and nature of your claim. Some examples of claim file documentation that
may be needed include: accident report; fire report; completed claims forms; damage inspection;
repair estimate; appraisal; recorded statement, receipts...
- Claim Conclusion – We will give your claim a thorough and fair assessment in order to bring it to a conclusion as quickly as possible. Our claim handlers will keep the lines of communication open and provide outstanding service. Missouri Farm Bureau employees make the difference!
